LiftMaster FAQs
Do you repair all LiftMaster openers?
Yes, every residential LiftMaster model, chain, belt, and wall-mount jackshaft, plus the logic boards, gears, sensors, and remotes. We diagnose the real fault before quoting.
My LiftMaster light blinks and the door won't close, why?
That blink is the safety sensor system. The two photo-eyes near the floor are misaligned or blocked. Clean the lenses and align them until both show steady lights, or we will repair the wiring or a bad sensor.
How much is a new LiftMaster installed in Las Vegas?
A quality Wi-Fi LiftMaster belt-drive is about $450 to $850 installed depending on horsepower and features like battery backup. We size it to your door.
What's the quietest LiftMaster for an attached garage?
A belt-drive model. Belt drives are dramatically quieter than chain drives, ideal when there is living space over or beside the garage.
Can you set up the myQ app on my LiftMaster?
Yes. We connect the opener to Wi-Fi and set up myQ so you can open, close, and check the door from your phone before we leave.
My LiftMaster remote stopped working, is the opener bad?
Usually not, start with a fresh battery, then reprogramming. If that fails we carry compatible remotes and can reprogram on the spot.
Does my LiftMaster need battery backup?
Battery backup keeps the door working during a power outage and is required on new installs in many areas. It is very handy in Las Vegas, and we can add or include it.
My LiftMaster hums but the door doesn't move, what's wrong?
Often a stripped drive gear or disconnected trolley. The gear is an inexpensive part on most LiftMaster units, a common, affordable repair.
How long does a LiftMaster opener last?
Often 10 to 15 years with care. Heat and dust shorten that, so keeping the door balanced and lubricated helps the opener last.
Can you install a LiftMaster I bought myself?
Yes, for a labor fee. We will flag it if the model is underpowered for your door, since the wrong horsepower wears out fast in the heat.
Do you program car buttons and keypads for LiftMaster?
Yes, wall keypads, handheld remotes, and in-car HomeLink buttons are programmed as part of the install, or on a service visit.
Do you warranty LiftMaster repairs and installs?
Yes. New openers carry the LiftMaster warranty and our labor is backed by a workmanship warranty.
