Off-track door back in service in Henderson

Off-track door back in service in Henderson

A door in Green Valley Ranch jumped the track after a worn roller seized. We freed it without bending the panels, replaced all the rollers, and realigned the door.

A Green Valley Ranch homeowner backed out, hit the remote, and the door lurched and jammed at an angle, off the track on one side. To their credit, they stopped immediately and called instead of forcing it, which saved the panels.

The cause was a cheap steel roller that had worn and seized, then popped out of the track and pulled the door out of line. We secured the door, eased it back onto the track without creasing the panels, and replaced every roller with quiet nylon rollers so it would not happen again.

After realigning the track section and balancing the door, we tested a dozen cycles to be sure it ran true. The homeowner went from a stuck, crooked door to a smooth, quiet one in about an hour.
